Posts: 10 05/31/2006 16:26:03	Tags : None Just a couple of weeks ago I was able to extract videos from Launch.com using URLSnooper and NetTransport, now I cant!! I am able to play mms:// using Windows Media Player but when I try to download it using NetTransport it does download a WMV file but there is nothing there. I tried opening/viewing the WMV file with Notepad and there are two Reference links but no downloadable video yet...Can anyone help me out here? And successfully download the videos from Launch.com? Thanks!

Posts: 60 05/31/2006 17:16:48	To download LAUNCH music videos: Download this small stand-alone utility (LyFOX v0.6) for Windows from: www.fernyb.net/ (Note: It doesn't install on your system - just OPEN the EXE file after unZIPPing to run the utility) Enter an artist's name in the SEARCH A list of his/her music videos on the LAUNCH site will be listed Double-click the title you desire NOW, press the MMS button Then, press the PLAY button and the video will buffer and start playing Right-click on the video playing, goto PROPERTIES, copy the complete MMS url Paste it into NetTransport to download (NOTE: You will note the same WMV file downloading at the same time.... simply DELETE one of them to speed up the download). Use NetTransport or AFTools, to index the file if you wish. Rename the ASF file if so desired. This may be the long way 'round, but it does work great!

Posts: 60 05/31/2006 17:41:23	oscdude, Sorry.... I had to edit my original post .... I discovered you have to press the MMS button in LyFOX BEFORE playing the video. (Re-read my original post again... now that I edited it). Try this now, and let me know if this now works for you! :-)

Posts: 10 05/31/2006 17:55:33	yup it did not work. Once I add it in NetTransport it download download. It works for AOLMusic.com like I mentioned in the other thread but not with lanch.com videos :( I can download some videos only which is weird.

It appears that if the Video ID contains EIGHT digits, it won't download; however, if the Video ID has SEVEN digits, it downloads just fine. Weird, huh? :-) I tried a number of video titles and this seems to hold true for any/all tested, etc. Well, maybe someone else can offer some suggestions or resolve this for us.

Posts: 10 05/31/2006 19:49:12	I was able to work around it. If you keep clicking MMS on LyFOX you will eventually get a server that will allow you to download the video with NetTransport, because the server does change every time MMS is clicked.
